Solar Pays Off is built and run by one person — Brendan Faulds, its founder. We’re not a solar installer and we don’t take sales enquiries — but if you’ve spotted a number that looks wrong, have a question about how a calculator works, or want to suggest a feature, we’d like to hear it.

We aim to reply within a few business days. Our rates and incentives come from public sources (EIA, NREL, IRS, DSIRE) and we update them periodically — if something’s out of date, a quick note helps us fix it for everyone.
When you’re reporting a correction, the most useful things to include are the page (or your state), the figure that looks wrong, and — if you have one — the source you’re comparing against, such as your own bill or a utility tariff sheet. We’d rather be told and be right than left alone and wrong.
Your privacy
The calculators run entirely in your browser — the bill, rate and cost figures you type are never sent to us or stored anywhere. Emailing us is the only time we receive anything from you, and we use your message only to reply. See our privacy policy for the full detail.
What we can’t help with
- We can’t give you a solar quote or recommend an installer — we’re deliberately independent.
- We can’t give personalised financial or tax advice; the calculators are estimates only.
