About Solar Pays Off

Solar Pays Off is an independent, free solar payback calculator. The goal is simple: give US homeowners a fast, honest answer to “is solar actually worth it for me?” without an email wall or a sales call.

We are not a solar company

We don’t sell, install or finance solar, and we don’t sell your details to anyone who does. That’s deliberate — it’s why the numbers here aren’t bent to make solar look better (or worse) than it is.

How it’s funded

The site is supported by display advertising. Ads keep the calculator free; they don’t influence the estimates, which are driven entirely by public data (EIA, NREL, IRS) and the figures you enter.
